Transparent interpretation. Protected construction.

Readers should be able to understand what a measure means, its direction, its coverage and its limitations without receiving a recipe for reproducing the product.

What we publish

Measure definitions, direction, country coverage, update timing, broad evidence families, limitations and the distinction between headline power, structural intelligence and risk diagnostics.

What stays proprietary

Production construction remains proprietary.

What readers can test

Published outputs can be compared across countries and time, checked against stated definitions and assessed alongside the limitations and source context we disclose.

The boundary: PolisMetric publishes enough to evaluate its research claims while protecting the production system that creates the scores.

Power Index

Headline national power

The Power Index is the primary PolisMetric national-ranking system. Its public lenses separate current power, system quality, durability, vulnerability and direction. Production construction remains proprietary.

IDG

Structural intelligence

Identity, Drive and Grit provide a separate diagnostic view of social cohesion, dynamism and resilience. IDG helps explain the structure beneath national power; it is not a substitute for the Power Index.

Risk diagnostics

Fracture and financial vulnerability

Risk measures are interpreted separately from strength. A country can be powerful and vulnerable at the same time, so those dimensions remain visible rather than being presented as the same thing.

Evidence before claims

Associations are described as associations unless a separate causal design supports stronger language. Measures still in development are not presented as settled headline rankings.
